Film Photography Series where I physically developed both the film and prints in the Darkroom.
For this project I chose to take photos of the same benches and different people sitting in them. A bench can be a place to catch your breath, a place to catch up with loved ones, a place to wait, a place to think or not to think, a place to get to know someone, even a place to tie your shoe. A bench can hold some people's most fondest memories or their worst. I even see a bench similar to a photograph stopping people for a brief moment in their lives before carrying on. In the movie Forrest Gump, Forrest tells his whole life story up to that specific moment on that bench while waiting for the bus before carrying on with his life. So I wanted to capture some of these moments, of the many purposes a simple bench can serve.
